# Slashathon 🚧 Welcome to **MIB’s Slashathon**! An incentivized testnet for developers, validators and delegators to in-deep test the new module “Slash Refund” we developed in the past months. ## Summary ### What is the Slash Refund Module It’s a Cosmos SDK module that allows validator to take portion or totality of the slashing risk out from their delegators. A validator at any time can lock some funds inside the *Slash Refund Module*, the lock last the same time of the unbonding period. In case a slash event occurs, a reimburse transaction is sent from the module to the validator delegators, proportionally to their stake.
